Side note 1:
As was stated in the first post: Get all the dirt and grime off of them before putting in the dishwasher, or you will soon destroy your dishwasher

Side note 2:
Cascade dish soap contains a chlorine bleach. I wouldn't wash my dishes without that.

Side note 3:
The "Sani Wash" cycle does in fact heat the water to kill bacteria and virus.

Side note 4:
If you want to be on the safe side, soak your pots in a 10% bleach solution after washing them in the dishwasher. Although I don't know that it's necessary
