Kujiri Awl (used as root tool)
At the suggestion of a larger nursery I get many orchids from, I went to a local Japanese tool store and picked up two of these "Kujiri". One regular, one small.
They are *amazing* for working with roots. Often root hooks are too large, rakes don't make sense, and we need something else to separate the roots when re-potting on our 'fine rooted orchids'.
These fit the bill perfectly. Made of stainless so they can be fired to sterilize.
