Repotted!! And the mix was in fact label for oncidiums and seedlings.

My only question is, are the roots pictured dead? They're white and airy and don't do like anything when I water. I have seen fresh new roots coming from the new PB so I know those are good but idk about the tangle of white roots. I sniped like a half inch off the bottom, but basically all of that stayed on the plant.

Hard to be certain from a photo, but they look good - dead roots are often brown,flat, brittle looking - tho they can be whitish but flat, dried out looking.

A little about mixes labeled for this type or that type orchid. Baloney!!!! What you use depends on your environmental conditions. Not on what someone's idea of marketing is. In the Tennessee area back in the 50's they used plain charcoal and raised beautiful orchids. In Singapore they use peat moss or shapgnum moss. I use bark/sponge rock/charcoal. Others use chc or other media which work for them in their environment. Personally I would get small bags of individual media like bark, sponge rock, chc, sphagnum moss, and mix my own. Tailor your media for your environment.

Roots look good to me, most of my orchids are in lava stone now, I was over watering them now they are doing better and the roots grow faster and not root.
