New Pots

I need to order some new 3,4,5" pots. I have been using clear pots with holes in the bottom. I see there are pots with slits in the side and holes in the bottom, also black, green, etc. I also see square and round.

What is the consensus on round vrs square? Slits on the side vrs no slits, Net pots vrs slits, colored vrs clear.

I would assume clear with no slits so one can see the roots, but with slits does it matter or is light also important for the roots.
