I absolutely love this pot! Male
Default I absolutely love this pot!

Never thought I'd say that about something I couldn't smoke...hehe...

I bought five of these and was contemplating what to do with them, and I remembered some threads here about mounting Phalaenopsis plants horizontally instead of putting them in pots vertically. These things are like 1/2 pot 1/2 mount, so I thought I'd try one in these:

The bottom pot portion is full of bark, etc. for phals, but I have it on its side so hopefully the roots will grow around the log and become a bit like a mount.

What do you think?

Both of them look great! I think Cattleyas would like that too.

Very cool! Considering the material, you could -- should you ever have the need or desire -- drill a small hole near the top so you could hang the plants.

Actually there are already holes to hang them, you probably just can't see them in the pictures.
