Hi there!
I am back again because I am not sure what I suppose do.

I was waiting the flowers to drop-off but instead it has a "bulb" I guess it has some seeds in it.

To produce the keikis of the stems, is it still ok or it is too late ? Should I cut those seeds off or should I wait until it drops ?

Is it difficult to produce new plants from this seeds?

I am sorry for those silly questions but I would be very happy if someone could clarify my doubts.

I meant have some pics here but I couldn't manage to do, I will try to put the pics later on.

Thank you in advance.

OMG!!!! That's a lot of seed!!! Looks like the bees were busy. You can still stem propagate but it would be shame to waste all that seed. Maybe just cut 2 stems then leave the rest of the pods to mature. And then when they mature send the seed to me lol

Hi Dan, thanks.
That could be a nice idea if I knew when they are mature enough and how to produce new plants from seeds.
Also I could send the seeds to you if you want some.

Cheers,
Toshi!

That would be great... I just play around with flasking for fun. As for ripening times, that is only important if you do green seed sowing. I personally prefer using dry seed, so essentially you just wait for the pods to start yellowing, then harvest just as they split. I can give you some tips if you want to try yourself. It is very labour intensive though so you may want to concentrate more on propagating from the stems...

After some reading it appears that P. australis is known to be self-pollinating so I'll take back that comment about the bees being busy. It got busy with itself.

Hi, that is interesting. lol.
I will try with propagating with the stems but I will keep one with the seed just by curiosity and if you would like to have some just let me know.
Thanks always.
