Ice Cascade Cymbidium to Repot or Not!

Hi everyone.

I purchased this Ice Cascade Cymbidium back in June, which has not shown any sign of growth since.
I am unsure of the root situation and the media as no matter how little I water it , it remains moist for a long time.
I wonder if I should repot it simply to find out if there is any root rot and to see what condition it is in. The media seems to consist of some coconut husk and a soil like component.
I wanted a second opinion on this as I have never grown a Cymbidium before and I do not know what to expect nor how to care for it correctly.
