Smile sedirea japonicum needs to be repotted

hello: i acquired this siderea japonicum in california this spring. it bloomed beautifully (was in bud when purchased)
now summer is upon us.. finally!
it looks like this plant needs to be repotted. I would very much like to rise to the challenge and have it rebloom for me next year.
it is now planted in a deep container, the medium looks like some basalt stones and maybe bark.
the roots were out of the pot as shown when i purchased this plant. the plant has grown more roots since.
the roots are kept very moist by keeping a little water on the bottom of the tray where I have placed some pebbles. it seems to like this arrangement.
does anyone have a suggestion for best chance of success in repoting this plant?
i have had suggestions to mount it.. but i am not sure that i will be able to keep the moisture level that this plant needs.

I grow this plant in the Japanese method of wrapping the roots in moss just like my Neofinetias....search on YouTube on how to repot Neos in moss and just follow it with your plant. I also have problems with humidity and moisture so I add an electric humidifier with an oscillating fan....otherwise if you continue with your current media mix you need to water it everyday since the mix drains water easy.
That plant will have thicker roots and robust foliage if you feed it weekly weakly fertilizer....

you can use the same pot that it is in....or if you want to invest on a one size bigger net pot....those Japanese Neo pots can be quite pricey but you can always order it online if you want to ....

Thank you. It seems straightforward. Since the root ball and all is above the pot, those long roots can be packaged in the moss. How great that I finally got my New Zealand moss order! Yeah.. Just ordered a plastic neofinetias pot! Thank you for the helpful link.
