Repotting - Should I be Concerned About These Roots?
Default Repotting - Should I be Concerned About These Roots?

Hi all,
I've finally repotted my two phals. When I got a good look at the root system of the large phal, it seems that all of the roots toward the center are yellow an still very damp (I watered four days ago). There are also brown spots showing on some of the damper roots. Is this normal or maybe overwatering? I water once a week and sometimes mist the aerial roots in between waterings. They're in plastic pots with slits, and then set in larger decorative ceramic pots. I haven't been using any food or fertilizer. They are also both just finishing up their flowering (they each have about 2 or 3 flowers left to drop).

I've repotted in just slightly larger pots with holes/slits to allow for airflow. They're potted in a bark orchid medium and I added a very, very small amount of moss around the top because the top (previously aerial) roots were drying out quickly.
What now? Do I water immediately, or let them adjust for a few days first? Here are some pics of the roots. Thanks!! Note - be sure to see next post with 2nd picture.
