My dad abandoned this plant and im trying to save it
Question My dad abandoned this plant and im trying to save it

Hello, my name is LuLu and I have recently moved to southwest FL to help my parents out. I'm new to caring for orchids but I have always loved their beauty, but don't have the patience for them during the non blooming period. None the less, I noticed in my dads yard an orchid blooming. Just kind of taken outside and shoved next to a bush. She is in bad shape but blooming. The leaves are ridden w holes and there are green root-like things coming out of the soil. What should I do? Do I replant her? What materiel do I use? I want to save her and give back her dignity. Any help would b appreciated. Thanks
The Monkey

Can you please post a pic. I don't even know what kind of orchid you have.

Keep in mind, there are over 25,000 species of orchids - not including the thousands of hybrids. Orchids are one of the largest members of the flowering plant kind.

Type of care, depends on the type of orchid.
