The flowers on this Neostylis are big, too... Twice maybe thrice as big as blue bird. And in the end, it can take full sun if allowed to adapt to the intensity. It will get purple spotting and color when its reach its max light... So long as its not dry and very hot, it will not burn and will let you know when it's had enough without damage. It's a solid, very hard to kill plant.
I'd fertilize as you would for any other orchid.

I wanted to put it in a basket but I did not have one and since it is so small I thought I would let it be in this pot until it gets a little bigger. Then I plan on growing it in a basket with lava rock.
