In the end you may want to transition the plant to a net pot with a mix of moss and hard media like bark or lava rock. It will want to let its roots wander.

The flowers on this Neostylis are big, too... Twice maybe thrice as big as blue bird. And in the end, it can take full sun if allowed to adapt to the intensity. It will get purple spotting and color when its reach its max light... So long as its not dry and very hot, it will not burn and will let you know when it's had enough without damage. It's a solid, very hard to kill plant.

I'd fertilize as you would for any other orchid.
I wanted to put it in a basket but I did not have one and since it is so small I thought I would let it be in this pot until it gets a little bigger. Then I plan on growing it in a basket with lava rock.

Thanks for all your help Do you know how many years it will take for this plant to bloom

I have the blue bird. I hadn't realized some varieties became that large. Wow!
In the summer, my Lou Sneary's roots try to migrate into other pots. Crazy orchid.

I am putting this plant in lava rock, I will keep it in the some pot until I can get a basket but I am not liking the moss.
