I would agree with everyone. I would leave them. However don't be surprised if some of the roots die back, because these roots are used to being in a pot and it needs roots adapted to being in the air. Trim the roots once it's established, they may not die off or may do it slowly (feeding the plant in the mean-time) so no point removing good ones now.
