new pots
I bought one for myself for Christmas. I have never spent anything like this for a pot, but since it is Christmas thought I would do it.
I'm trying to decide what Phal. to use it for and if I should try using moss.

Those look very interesting. The premise is great though.

I found the manufacturers site.
Orchitop II
Our European growers may be able to save by buying in quantity, for instance a dozen for 79 Euro (currently = $104.44 US, about $8.70 each). Single pots are 9.80 Euro = $12.96 US.
They do ship worldwide, but you have to inquire for the costs.

For shipping in other countries please ask for a individual offer and tell us how many Orchitops you would like to order: info@orchitop.de

EDIT: Coasters sold separately there for 1.99 Euro, $2.63 US.

They do look nice but since I buy my unglazed clay pots from dollarama and don't pay more than 1-2 dollars for them - $23 seems like really high price, I don't think I will try them.

Karate girl - Any update on these pots? I like them but wonder if the bark, chips etc also start popping out the sides...thanks

So far so good I'm using a chunkier mix so there is no mix popping out the sides. The sides of the pot are flexible, but not to the point where you have to worry about the media falling out when you handle the pot. It's pretty nice because I can tip the pot slightly on its side and water the plant through the sides as well.

Looks intersting, they have nice products, but, their prices are outrageous. I buy from Orchiata from Ray, much more reasonable

I purchased one wondering if it would be worth it. I put a new phal in it that I had recently purchased (in bloom with 2 spikes) in November. I placed the plastic clear pot that it came in the carousel pot. Now in February shortly after the last flowers fell its sending up another flower spike!
I'm happy with it but what do I do with the other spikes? They are both still green

I just ordered one today plus some of the less expensive pots. And I ordered the Monterey mix to repot my phal that has been in the same pot of maybe 4 years. I suspect he is not happy.
