Cha-Cha-Cha-Chia pet? Male
Default Cha-Cha-Cha-Chia pet?

Late night musings. So I am watching late night TV and a chia pet commercial comes on. and I had the thought you could use one for an orchid.
Obviously, you would have to match the plant with the character but other than this mismatch what else am I missing?

Would this work or was I up too late?

You might be up to late, but I like the way you think, what chia pet would you use? maybe a min catt would work or a phal, I like using odd things for planters

Mounting a mini orchid on the outside? Why not?

The only thing that comes to mind with this are the tiny Lepanthes spp, such as Lths telipogoniflora or Lths tsubotae.

I'd cover it in something small and creeping like bulbophyllum shepherdii or exiguum. Cute idea!

I think it would work. It should not be any different from mounting a phal or other orchid on a clay pot. It could be fun to mount several different orchids.
