I would be surprised if they stopped selling it overhere. The hydroponics store I buy it from sells a LOT of it. Mostly to people who don't like to say what they use it for... but the place has massive stocks and it's one of the main things they sell.
Its about 75% of the market here too.... Don't be suprized!

Hmmm... Maybe I'm going to go buy a a few large bags of leca, just to be on the safe side!! Because I'm busy transfering various non Phals to S/H this summer, and will do more next year once I see how the current ones do.

I was just in Milan and I saw what looked like LECA but grey instead of red allover large planters on sidewalks outside stores as a top dressing. It felt like leca but the color was different. I can't imagine something so generic that is also used in construction to be discontinued

Same stuff, Stefano. The color is just due to the firing conditions - excess oxygen turns the iron oxide red, less O2 - gray.

I contacted the producer of PrimeAgra, and am awaiting a response on 1) their production (marketing folks insist it's OK), and 2) the rumors about other forms shutting down.

It's a Midlands based company but they do have various stores in the UK. Its called Growell, I'll see if I can find the website. The might not though as it costs a lot to send that weight through the post. I know Peter White at orchidaccessories has it but only at shows because of the postage cost. (It can double the cost).

I stopped by my local hydroponics store today to buy some Hydroton but they no longer have that brand, now they carry Hydrocorn:
