When to repot?

Hello everyone! So, I bought my mini Phal in july of last year. It has bloomed several times since then and currently has at least one very small bud forming, possibly two. It is currently in the original pot it came in, a ceramic pink one. Through my reading, I discovered that Phal's like to be potted in clear pots. No problem. However, it is currently in sphagnum moss now. Should I keep it in sphangum moss or move to a bark mix? It gets watered/misted at least once a week if not more. Just curious. Thank you in advance.

Repot (carefully) whenever you think it needs it (roots rotting, sphag looking grungy - whatever); most people find bark better than sphag, but it depends how much you water and how quickly it dries out. Certainly, sphag should be replaced after 6 months to a year; many advocate immediate transplant into bark.

Repotting sounds like the right move. If possible take a picture and definately keep us posted.
If your orchid is from Lowes and in a narrow ceramic pot and in spag it needs to be in a better draining orchid pot. Roots need air.

What you pot it in is up to you. If you are doing a good job with sphag and the roots are happy and healthy, then continue with sphag if you want, otherwise bark is fine.
For most people sphag is a good medium for small pots, and in the larger pots sphag may not dry out very evenly. But as for everything, this depends on your growing conditions and watering habits.
