It's in a mix that has about 30% moss now.

I was using a fan for 2 hours a day as well but this one Phal just wasn't working in it for me.

Haha, I agree that it depends on a persons conditions! All of my phals other than the ones in 6" pots are in straight sphagnum, and the 6" pots are 50% sphag, 50% mix of bark, leca, and chc.

Aberardi, go to youtube and watch videos on how to repot...it will also give you suggestions on different media mix to use depending on your grow zone and the humidity in your rooms...some repot while the plant is in bloom and nothing goes wrong as long as you do it properly

Josh...you know what to do all along...youre just potty mouth, heh

Its a shock to replant any plant into any media. Its not the media that is a shock but a disturbing of its roots that does it.

That will mean that they dry out faster in the bark unless you up your schedule to more frequent watering. It all depends on YOUR environment and YOUR culture. Watch closely and keep notes on any changes you make.

I think its a good idea to do a 50/50 mix first unless you really have problems with moss. New bark dries out a lot faster than bark that's been getting wet for a while. So you go from a fairly dense wet medium to a very open dry medium in 1 step by switching from straight moss to straight bark. But again, everyone handles it differently. Mine seem real happy in a mix with clear pots and air holes.

Default I second

what Silken says....but just be careful to get the RIGHT kind of sphagnum moss - long-strings, not finely chopped.. I see they sell both types for same use.
