I think I will try a version of that combo. I don't have leca but I do have lava rock. The only thing I don't like about using entirely leca or lava is that I don't know how to tell if it needs water unless it's in a clear container. If there is some sphag mixed in, it would be dry to the touch when it needs water.

OOh that looks fabulous!
I don't agree on the low light comment. I couldn't bloom mine until it went into T8 lighting from T12's.
These are one of the higher light phals, the more, the merrier (IMO)
