do you have a name tag for it ? I have a Baldan's Kaleidoscope that I rescued from a big box store a few years ago - and its BIG.......but not THAT big !!!! Do not try and stuff the roots into the potting medium with the repot. I made that mistake once and all the repotted roots eventually died back, also setting the plant back a year or so.

Okay, that's no ordinary Phal, it's more like Phalzilla!

Wonderful giant you have grown there.

I would use a basket. I have made a few in the last few months and you could make one that is tall and skinny for your plant. My lowes has 2" wide by 8ft long strips of cedar that I just cut to size and assemble. It looks like its growing with virtually no medium already so a basket would be great. I am recommending to build one since pre made ones typically aren't tall enough to accommodate your monster plant!

Why not just stick the phal in a basket.......It has tons of aerial roots. Besides it kinda looks vandaceous!
