Haven't grown an Oncidium yet, still in Phalaenopsis and Dendrobiums. Willing to learn if you have success and any extras.

My Onc Twinkle and Miltonidium / Oncidium Rosy Sunset I got at TJ rebloom easily. They seem easier to grow than Phals and easier to rebloom than Dendrobium.

My Onc. sphacelathum is finally putting out new roots and new growth. It was a 3 PB division I got a few months ago. $10. Duffin Orchids.

If it has not rotted in the first 6 weeks your re-pot was fine.

These grow very easily. I had a neighbor who had one 10 FEET wide.

Good to know. I guess the remaining divisions are going to do ok then. Had a couple pbulbs rot on a few of the divisions and lost one or two outright. But, the rest must be doing fine. Now for the wait for flowers.

I need one! Especially one that has largeness in it's genes! I don't have any orchids to trade, but I do have lots of homemade jams and salsa that are easy enough to ship!!!

Post photos, I love oncidiums!

I bought a division a few months ago from Duffin orchids (from Philly Pa.) at some orchid show in NJ. Was $10 3 PB, for a couple of months it did nothing at all but now is growing roots all over and one new lead.
it is in a plastic let pot with big lava rocks (those that you get at HD / Lowes for some BBQ grills) and some coco chips here and there.

Mr Duffin had some divisions from a huge plant they have. Anyway - do not think it is too hot for shipping an Onc sphacelathum. It is in full sun for half a day . One old leaf is yellow but I think the new growth is adapted to high light. At the Botanic Garden it is in the Aquatic House that is really really hot.
