Default RLC Front without eyes

Good morning to everyone. I am showing what i have done with an Rlc i bought a few month ago. The plant apparently was strong and healthy, and a bit overgrown. After a detailed review, i noticed that the front bulb eyes were black and a few days later i found a black spot in this pseudo bulb. When this front became soft and bended a bit, noticing green eyes in most of the back bulbs i decided to cut the leader. The cut was green, no sign of rot, and i covered it with cinnamon,
After a few weeks, new root tips started to grow from old roots. As the plant was stablished in a holed ceramic pot, i decide to repot everything together.
I am posting a few pictures , before ad after. Let´s see what happens in the future.

Fear not, when the apical meristem is damaged, the plant will redirect its efforts and produce one or more new ones along the existing growths.

The same principle applies when you “top” a terrestrial plant to make it branch and be bushy.

Cattleya new growths die when they don't get enough water, they get too much sun, or they don't get enough calcium. The rest of that plant looks very dry. I think you didn't water enough.

You might be right about it, although i water the hanging roots nearly everyday. When i received the plant, the black eye was already there. As what the pot contains is only moss and i cannot see the interior, i am more scarce with water in the pot, but not outside.
Since it is at home, new roots have started to grow and the pseudobulbs are not shrinking. Anyway, i will water it more, since the plant has awakened, hoping for a new leader sprouting soon.
Thank for our comment
