Somewhat of a newbie, been dabbling in Neos for 2 years. How long can a neo remain in a wooden basket bare root? I have one that's been in for over a year. Plant looks good. Wondering how long it will be okay.

It is essentially a mounted plant. It will become difficult to divide over time but it can remain that way until the basket deteriorates.

First, Welcome!

I agree, just leave it. When the basket deteriorates, pluck out the bits and put it another. Neos are little Vandas... they are very happy essentially bare-root if they're getting adequate water. Yours looks quite happy.

I have several growing just like that, with 2-3 foot roots that just dangle and get longer each year.
