That one will need a bit of attention - they need to stay moist. I prefer somewhat smaller bart for those. By selecting the medium that helps the plant get what it needs, you can make life a lot easier... Large bark for Cattleyhas that do want to nearly dry out, medium bark for Phalaenopsis and generally those in smaller pots, and small bark for Oncidiums, Cymbidiums, etc. that want to stay moist, you can then water everything on the same schedule, and get the different outcomes for the different plants. With a small collection it's not so hard to have a duifferebt schedule for each plant, but it quickly gets out of hand.

With small plants, you probably don't need large, but getting some small would be useful.

I made a mistake, that second picture is a propetalum la Jolla Delight ‘Hilo Orchid Farm’ AM/AOS it is the one that lost all its leaves. The fist picture is a Den. Unicumxsib from Viet Nam.

Bark turns very dark when it's wet. It looks OK.
Propetalum is a hybrid genus between natural genera Promenea and Zygopetalum. They are cool to intermediate growers, not liking temperatures over the upper 70s F / 26C. You might have trouble with them if you keep them warmer.

When I consider buying a plant I'm not familiar with, I first find out what temperatures it needs, since I'm in Phoenix and it gets hot here. I can't grow cool nor intermediate growing orchids. You can look up ancestor species at orchidroots.com by searching for the name of the plant. Then look up the species ancestors at the Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia, IOSPE, orchidspecies.com.

Proper size bark
I have already ordered some small size, I should get it Wednesday, now I just have to figure the best time to switch all concerned plants. Because I’ve already been told how important that can be.
Thanks Roberta, and to estacion,I’m not sure yet about the propedelum, I did read on it but it also said if I’m not mistaken that it needs a good light source and the one I have inside isn’t very strong+ I have a tiny house and there’s not a lot of room . My zygo. has just about healed up from the bad area it had on it and is producing three or more new blooms( see in my photo album)
