Sulking Nun's Orchid

I had success getting this orchid to re-bloom for three or four years, so I let it alone. Around the fifth year, it didn't spike. I figured it had gotten too large for the pot and split it into several plants - each with three or four pseudobulbs.
The following spring I had no spikes and figured it was still recovering.
This spring, two years later, still no attempt to produce flowers. I've relocated most of the plants to sunnier areas in the hopes I can get some activity come February.

Any thoughts as to what I can do in the meantime that might improve my chances?

Which plant do you mean? There are several orchids with this colloquial name.

if you are talking about a phais tankerville (SP?)
is it putting out new growth? leaves stay on the bulbs while growing?

do you keep it moist to wet?

"do you keep it moist to wet?" I remembered it is also called a 'Swamp Orchid'. (Duh...)

I probably have been keeping it on the dry side, now that you mentiojned it. It has been doing a lot of vfgegitative growth- new pseudobulbs, fresh leaves, but it has been under a porch roof, so it only gets watered when othes on the patio are getting watered.

As for the variety, I got it at an orchid show at the local fairgrounds and I don't recall ever getting anymore info than it it a "Nun orchid"
I am trying to locate a picture of it when it was in bloom, but I'm not having any success.

Where do you live? If it is a Phaius or a related genus it might not be getting enough light under a cover. They are used as landscape plants in mixed sun/shade in southern Florida and similar climates. It also may need fertilizing.

Look up photos online of Phaius to see if that is what you have.

Tankervilleae wants moist soil and fairly bright light as it grows "on the edge" of mountain forests.

The only "Nun Orchid" I'm aware of goes by the scientific name of Phaius tankervilleae.
