Default ¿Can Paph nitens be potted in regular potting mix?

Hello, after several years without trying with paphs I saw a couple of nitens at very good price, I want to repot them and I wonder of I can use regular vegetable soil since i'm done with bark mixes, another option is using 100% inorganic substrate.

Thoughts?

Do not use regular potting mix (soil) for Paphs.

If you do not want to use a bark mix, then the other common option is spaghnum. It can be used without any additions, though I prefer to mix in 15-20% bark.

I would add to that, don't use regular potting soil for any orchids except perhaps some terrestrials, and even then it needs to be amended for better drainage. But never for nearly all of the usual commercially-available orchids.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

What do you mean by "vegetable soil?"
