Out of Control Phalaenopsis - aerial roots Male
Default

Since moving my phals outside, one has done this. It's the one I didn't clip the flower spikes upright on. I think it looks good, I'm just scared she gonna flop out the pot. Even though the flower spikes have wire wrapped around them holding them to the pot, that's really the only thing holding the plant in the pot lol

You could repot though and stand her back up. Once the flower spike gets 6 or 7 flowers it's really heavy. Pulling the plant out of the pot, especially if they aren't staked.

If you go with a large pot, using leca as media, 12 inch pot or even bigger. The air roots will grow into the media if they have the room to. If they don't, they'll turn into air roots
