Arron ----- those pots may have various depths or profiles. One way to estimate the volume, would be to fill it up with water - one of those pots. Then pour the water into a measuring cylinder, or something that is able to measure the volume of water that fills the pot.

Otherwise, it's something like 1 cubic cm of water comes out to around 1 gram. So accurately weighing the water in the pot should give a rough measure of volume too.

It seems there is a distributor in Guildford, in Sydney, so I can get 4 bags in my next trip down. $36 for a 50 litre bag.

Question for Australian members on bark supplies Female

I ordered some cattleya orchids for my neighbour’s 58 th wedding anniversary and they both came very healthy and happy and potted in pebbles/ rocks and perlite. Imagine never having to repot again!
I use orchiata bark it is said to last 5 years my neighbour has not repotted for at least 3 years and it’s still good and not broken down.
I buy it online from or orchidden .com.au a supplier from the gold Coast.
$16 for ten litres of orchiata ( 42 cm x 36 cm bag) not including postage. But ten litres is enough for me to repot my 30 paphs and 8 phrags but I also mix in charcoal and perlite and most of their pots are small.
I really highly recommend orchiata for its longevity.
There are suppliers at mingara orchid show where you can get it for around that price minus the postage price but no orchid show for us this year ☹️
