I have had one since 2014 on a Kool Log. This baby sure knows how to bloom. But, I really haven’t seen and growth in all this time. Should I pot it some other way? Mount? Basket? Help!

See note in Beginner's Forum post. Or can a moderator move the version in the Beginner's Forum down here?

Ditto. It's not a Pleurothallis alliance (I think it's Catt relative).

How cool is the cool log? I've had two Scaphyglottis species (both rehomed) and grew them warm and mounted. They need to dry in between waterings.

It is a Cattleya relative.

Should I post this in the catt alliance forum?

I'd just leave it up to the moderators to move the posts or merge them, or what not.

I'm just letting you know for the sake of knowledge that Scaphyglottis are Cattleya relatives.

Scaphyglottis are unusual plants. They are ramblers, but they tend to grow shoots from two places:

1. The base of the pseudobulbs where it connects with the rhizome.

2. The apex of the pseudobulbs in between the two leaves.

They're also pretty slow growing.

They grow better in intermediate to warm temperatures.

Moderately bright light to bright indirect light is fine.

I'm guessing they're called Scaphyglottis prolifera for a reason...They probably bloom prolifically.
