Pleurothallis restrepioidis culture? Male
Default Pleurothallis restrepioidis culture?

Hi-first time posting to this forum. I just bought a Pleurothallis restrepioidis "Greenhorn" and am wondering about growing tips-lights, watering etc. Any help would be appreciated. Bill

well definitely welcome to OB, dun forget to say 'hi' in the ice breaker forum ^^

well i have one too--also my first pleuro. but mine's a "Dragonstone" but that matter not, it's still the same species. hmm i just got one mth ago, and i grow mines in semi-hydroponics. and i grow mines in quite high light and in intermediate temps.

i know pleuros grow cool and moist and shady... but so far mines still seems ok for now.

i too would like to hear some from other people

Nick
I too have a Dragstone, but I grow mine cool and bright, in sphagnum. It seems to grow well, but I have yet to see it bloom...although that may be more a matter of maturity than anything else. It seems to be very easy growing, provided it is kept moist and well fed.
Anyone else growing this?
Adam

hmm i just moved mines back to moss b/c i checked tonite after i posted and i see 2 new leads growing but they seem to have an issue 'getting out' of the hydroton, haha... nonetheless, i hope they grow as easy as u say they do. if they are indeed mature and happy, they'll bloom =) if not, then itz just the matter of moving it around until u find the right place ^^ mature plants will definitely bloom easier than younger ones anyways, but they can get huge... i saw one at the SOOS show. oh boy, they can get quite big, haha
