Lepanthes acting weird

Telipo has lost a bunch of leaves all of a sudden and I don't know what is wrong with it(although it has a few buds).
I think it got too wet and not enough air circulation.
Some of the leaves disintergrated when I touched them.

I don't have any experience with this. Others here do grow this. If you use Search in the top maroon menu on Lepanthes telipogoniflora there are a lot of threads with a lot of information.

I took it off its mount and removed the sphag so that it could get some air flow to its roots.
The sphag was quite decomposed and compacted when I looked at it.
So, hopefully it feels better soon.

I don't have enough info to speculate. Here is what I'm doing (reply #10). I have 4 now, one isn't doing great but I'll figure it out.

Air circulation will dry them out. Tricky to balance that with mold control (doesn't seem to affect them).

I had mine in a container like yours and I let it get too wet.

Also, AnonYMouse, do you know how to pollinate lepanthes? Because I want some little babies of them

I have definitely had this happen with telipogoniflora. Do you grow it in a container without air circulation?
I think what causes it is wet leaves being too hot (maybe too cold?) and they kind of collapse and rot away. I haven't had any problems since I ever so gingerly removed the moss they arrived with and replaced it with high quality New Zealand sphagnum.
In my experience, these like to approach dryness before being watered again. For me, that means once a day watering. The moss is still spongy and pliable, but not sopping wet. Also, I really don't recommend removing them from the mount. They take FOREVER to reestablish. But oh well. Keep the humidity very high and it will probably be alright.

Propagating lepanthes is a formidable task. First, the flowers are tiny. You'd need at least a jewelry loupe to be able to see most of them to pollinate. Second, the seed capsules tend to have a very low volume and are difficult to flask. I haven't successfully accomplished it yet.
That said, pollinating lepanthes is just the same as pollinating any large-sized Orchid flower, just miniaturized.

Marni Turkel is probably the foremost expert in pollinating and flashing this kind of plant. She's on Orchid forum.

Well, my grandpa was a faceter(person who cuts gemstones) and has a bunch of jewelry loupes because he needed them for his work.
So I can easily get them from him.

No, I didn't have a change in temp. There is a thermometer in the shower and it didn't show any change.
