Losing leaves. As a matter of fact a lot of my plants are dropping leaves here in NY in February. Just lost a big leaf on my fairly new Bulbo blomei.

Did it arrive recently? Are you able to keep it in 80% plus humidity?

Raising from November. Water weakly weekly and have been using basin vaporizer for extra humidity purposes.

I'm just a beginner with these, but I think low humidity or drying out completely kills these fastest. You aren't letting it go dry so....
I think I need to keep my few inside large glass jars or vases.

Time to check the roots.

I think Tindomul means take it out of the pot and look at the roots. Are they alive?

Again, I'm just a beginner, but when I was contemplating trying Masdevallias I read lots of the threads here. Whenever plants started dropping leaves people advised unpotting and looking at the roots. If they were bad... I'd have to go search the threads again. I seem to recall Tindomul and wintergirl saying this.

They do not like to dry out. I am finally having luck now that I have put them in my basement garage in one of those shelves with the plastic cover and I have a humidifier inside keeping it in the 80% humidity. It is also quite cold down there. They finally seem happy and you should see all the spikes on my ignea. It will be the first blooming for me on this one.
