Masdevallia regina
Here she is again, the Queen of the Masdevallias, Masdevallia regina. My friend say's she loves the leopard print.
This is the 4th bloom since the early fall. I love the rich yellow-oranges and reddish tones on the sepaline tails. The flower size is bigger than the length of my hand from wrist to top of my middle finger. Very impressive.
I hope you enjoy.

Lovely flower, Tindo.
One thing I really enjoy in it is the upper "antenna".
Does it serves any purpose in nature?

Thanks all. I agree, that dorsal sepaline tail is awesome with it's continuous colours. What purpose it may have I can only guess might be for attraction.
