My Restrepia finally had a bud make it all the way to flower!

Not sure about the coloring though. It was supposed to be the purple variety which has a very nice, deep and true purple color. Where I would expect it to be purple, this guy is a reddish-brown... eerily similar to the leaf color

Otherwise, the flower is nice - good shape, large and nice spotting. I am hoping this the color is a fluke an and a result of it adjusting to high LED light (the leaves all turned that reddish-purple-brown once I put it under the LED; new leaves look like they will be green). Time will tell, it's go five new growths, if their flowers are normal, I will know its an adjustment. If not - oh well, at least it bloomed! It's only been open about 48 hours, so maybe it will color properly in time?

Thank you!

You have a point, if I set my expectations aside, it is a really nice flower.

Indeed I like how it matches the leaf color.
