Lepanthes gargoyla
Lepanthes gargoyla. My family is not very impressed with this one. I think it is pretty cool, though.

Family and friends who don't understand us ...tis a cross many of us must bear.
Personally, I think it's a pretty cool bloom.

Ooh awesome bloom! I should have this, but really need to stop saying that. I'm pretty lucky in that my family enjoys seeing my orchids bloom. I finally have one bloom on my Masdevallia erinacea and I was really excited. My husband thought it was a really cool bloom. I hope it will have more soon.

Thanks, everyone. I like the little tails on this one and it is rather neat in a weird way (I think the name isn't meant to convey beauty, either). I should be getting a few more Lepanthes at my next OS meeting. The Ecuagenera order arrived!
I always envy those who have family that have an interest in orchids because that doesn't happen here. The only plants that are popular with my family are the fruit trees and berries. :|
I have really been enjoying the other posts on the Lepanthes lately. It is great to know that others are growing them, too!

Glad I don't need permission or approval-it's only me(the 2 felines don't count)!

Obviously, with the number of orchids and other plants...I don't seem to need permission or approval, either.
This is mounted and kept in a tabletop greenhouse for the humidity. The little greenhouse was about a foot from my shelf of lights but nothing was blooming (I did have plenty of growth) but, for the summer, I have the little greenhouse in a South-facing window. I plan to set up a ten gallon tank for the Lepanthes at some point this summer.
