Thanks Leafmite I always show my husband new growth or blooms, ect. He sometimes says "why do you have to torture me like this? " But he is actually proud of my plants and occasionally lets some really nice comments slip out

No, that isn't my hubby or kids. One of my daughters, though, is nice enough to help at our OS shows when she can. Fortunately, we have an Orchid Society within traveling range.

That's great leafmite! I grew a fair amount of lepanthes when I lived in cooler areas, love them so much it pains me I can't grow them really anymore... I had a gargoyla and it supposedly handles heat... but sadly it did not and died fairly quickly once things hit 90 one summer... ugh... I hope to get telipogoniflora and the others that prefer warm soon, probably from ecuagenera when they get here in september...
but I love this one because of the dark cool leaves that dangle on threads, and the contrast to the rich deep flower color... really lovely species.

I am sorry you lost yours. I have mostly the intermediate-warm growers but a few of the cooler growers seem to have slipped into the group. I am a little concerned about the upcoming summer. I like this one, too, so I would hate to lose it.

Nice, Leafmite! I love the flowers that make us work to appreciate their beauty.
I have L. gargoyla and it is a trooper: withstanding warm summer days (and nights only into the 70s).

We've been having temperatures in the 90's for weeks on end and, while some of the Lepanthes are suffering, the L. gargoyla seems to be thriving. It is getting quite a bit of new growth. I must say, I really love this one.

Looks like I missed it. The photo is gone. Must have been nice.
