I know Lepanthes aren't easy to find so I wanted to let anyone interested know that Seattle Orchid has Lepanthes telipogoniflora and Lepanthes calodictyon. As well as a couple others. Lepanthes caprimulgus (if it hasn't sold out). Lepanthes escobariana. Lepanthes turialvae. Lepanthes saltatrix. And a hybrid. They package really well and are always happy to help, my go to orchid store.

None of these blooms are mine, all came from them in bud/bloom

So cute. Those leaves are going to be nice to look at even out of bloom.

I know I love the leaves! I've been wanting to grow Lepanthes since I started growing orchids but just finally gained the confidence to try. They all seem pretty happy so far in globes and my small terrarium.

What a great little group of Lepanthes! I bought my telipogoniflora from Seattle Orchids and bought a few more Lepanthes from Ecuagenera when they came to the West Shore Orchid Show (I wish I had gotten a few more!). They are such cool little orchids. Good luck with them!

Lepanthes are in my top 5 all time fav orchids... I grow a fair amount of them when I lived on east coast... now i'm in LA it's hot and dry so it's a bit rough... i just talked to ecuagenera to get some from them, but they won't be back til fall to CA so maybe I can just get from seattle...

thanks for sharing, beautiful stuff!

I'm in Washington so it's fairly easy to grow intermediate Lepanthes (although I just started so I can't say long term). I'm a little nervous for summer though. I have Lepanthes Terborchii and have been growing that for a couple months. It's a cool grower but loves my terrarium which is about 75 degrees. Seattle advised me to keep it moist and humid with less light in summer. We'll see how it does. At least we normally don't have super hot summers.

If you can't wait (or don't have a show near by), you can order from Ecuagenera and have them ship from a domestic show. The disadvantage is you buy sight unseen.

If Seattle doesn't stock a particular plant from a particular supplier, they might order it for you. (I've recognized at least a couple of their suppliers.)

Default Oh thank you!

Thank you for the heads up on Seattle Orchids having the Lepanthes calodictyon! This has been on my wish list a long time and I buy most of my orchids from Andy's or J&L, I just didn't think to look at Seattle.

I had just ordered 4 plants from Andy and came on here to see what else I might like to buy. I noticed your post and scramble over to Seattle. Awesome, it arrived yesterday! This is such a amazing little plant. I've tucked it into a large glass ball with a Lepanthesopsis astrophora and they seem very happy together.

Thank you so much!

No problem! I'm glad you were able to get one! I know they are hard to find and wanted to help anyone that's been searching for them.

I have 2 calodictyons, 1 in a globe and one in a terrarium. Surprisingly the one in the globe is actually growing faster.
