Default Dracula spike and a growth!

I just received this Dracula anthracina and noticed two very different appearing growth from the base. I'm happy to get a bloom out of this before I find out whether it can handle summer here:

one thing I love about pleuros is they bloom relatively quickly than all the other orchids... spikes to bloom in days if not weeks, so hoping for the best for ya!
