restrepia lansbergii bloom
Got this last summer, liked it for being more on the rosy color spectrum than the usual warmer colors of other restrepias. It started blooming a couple weeks ago sending out a bud from under one leaf one day then a few days sending another out. Sadly, each bloom lasts only a day so I had to jump on taking a pic that I had the chance... but hoping it continues to bloom for a while as supposedly it can bloom year round like other species...
Handled up to 90's, so definitely heat tolerant.

I agree. Restrepia has it's own attraction, starting to see that myself more and more. I like your little one u bada. The lilac-violet 'antennae' and dorsal are gorgeous. Good job!

Thanks guys! Yeah, they are definitely more of acquired taste for many. i've always loved them but I always love the small and weird plants... the funny thing is my problem with them now is 2 part... many aren't actually that easy, i've killed quite a few in the past, and the other is that they're actually too big a plant! This one I grow in a 5gl aquarium... you can imagine how small that is... and I have like 20 plants stuffed in there and this restrepia is a monster compared to the others! other pleuros and bulbos for instance are minute... still I should probably get more restrepia... lol

Sounds like maybe you need another 5gl or two or three, haha! Or better yet, a 10 reserved for restripia's.

Just a little update, this flower is still open for the third day... wonder why this time around it's lasted longer... definitely cooler this flush time around, last time in fall it was ridiculously hot.

Would think lower temps now def make a difference in overall plant happiness. Prob reflects in inflorescence as well. Had those two seasons to mature in general. Do you think the plant itself is healthier, stronger now?
