Beautiful!!
I tried one the year too. It was a travel companion to my amesiella monticola project plant. I had 3 growths die before the 4th it is on now. The newest growth is doing very well so I am hoping I fixed the issue and get blooms one day. Mine certainly doesn't like to get dry.
Thanks!
These like it cool, humid and never to dry out completely. A clay pot or setting their plastic pot in a clay pot helps keep their feet cool. Good luck with yours.
I've had this one for several years but have never bloomed it unfortunately. However, one of the parents is ayabacana and I have one of those with a spike, so I'm hoping my Machu Picchu will eventually reward me. An ayabacana in bloom is not too shabby either.
