Whimgrinder, thank you so much! In searching pictures it seems most growers must cut them as their plants never show empty tan colored spikes. It really distracts from the beauty of this little plant and I have been reluctant to remove any. I feel the new spikes will shoot upward if allowed to do so.

I have a few older spikes reblooming now though several that have not bloomed in a year. I'm going to cut them, again thanks for your reply.

Amazing growth on this. I have one that is doing meh. It surprises me on occasion with some blooms and those are great.
