Saving Acostaea costarricensis after shipping

I won an Acostaea costarricensis on ebay, and it came today, but had lost 3 leaves in transport, leaving only 3!
So I am pretty worried about this and have to get the conditions JUST RIGHT right now or I will lose it.

What kind of air flow does it want?

It is sitting in moss in a pot, inside of a glass with standing water so there should be constant water being wicked to the orchid, and the glass should keep humidity up. Is this a good set up for this plant?

You can see the distance I have set it from my T5 light- is that a good 'shade' setting do you think?

I'm not an expert but they actually seem pretty good- small dense ball of them (they way out-mass the leaves now)

These small thinks are very iffy when traveling, and they sometimes can be shipped in perfect condition and come bad, but there is nothing seller can do about it. I have few of these, and when I did receive some, I lost all but ONE leaf after picked up from the vendor at the show, within days! I must say though all of these survived, they seem to be doing much better than other problematic species like Masdies or Lepanthes. I did mount mine, and let it only sit on the life moss, I never kept them constantly wet as I do believe that stressed plants should be kept on drier side to provoke them send new roots and leaves to survive, when I kept other species that came in this conditions too moist, they just did rot very fast. If the roots are good, you have great chance! I find this species very easy to grow actually, does great when kept lightly moist with good humidity, does not mind air movement (one on hygrolon cylinder with fan) but does not mind nearly no air movement at all (one grown mounted on the cork sitting on the moss in glass orb). Low light is preferable. They do spike and bloom many many times a year for me. Wishing you best of luck!

As long as they look healthy, white or bright green, not black, or brown or mushy. If the orchid meets those requirements then it should recover.

Amyzes, this one is my very first one, got it some two years ago, and this is the one that lost all but one leaf, mounted on hygrolon, this is the picture from few weeks ago, and it is in spike past couple months :-) Hope your plant will recover fast too!

Thanks guys, I will see about keeping it in the glass maybe but putting some bark under the moss so it will be humid but not constantly wet

Humid and constantly wet. I've found this species to be very strong. If you have 3 leaves, that is more than enough for it to bounce back. Good luck.
