Default Pleurothallis grobyi 'small form'

This little guy opened up today! It looks like there are going to be plenty more flowers in the future, too! At least three more spikes forming at the moment.

Saw this one on Dendroboard. I think thats awesome!! Congrats. I bought one but I mounted it on some driftwood and the moss I planted has outcompeted it. I suppose its really the plant that didn't thrive. I think I lost it, can't find it in the all the moss.

Thanks! It's a little one is small, but very cool. I'm pleasantly surprised at how strong the contrast is with the stripes going down the sepals.

Thanks a bunch! This is a pretty cool form of grobyi and I really like it. That sucks that yours got overgrown. I hope you've got some some left. Cut down that moss and find out!

Hey, did just that and not only did I find it, but its still pretty sizable. Some leaves were suffering rot from the excess moisture provided by the moss. Otherwise its still at least 12 leaves strong. Hopefully now that I cut down the moss it will grow a bit faster. I never thought moss could get so aggressive. I have to keep cutting it back so it doesn't over take one of my small bulbos.

Great!! Happy to hear it's still alive. Grobyi is a surprisingly hardy species so it should recover just fine. Moss is a pain sometimes, isn't it? I love the look of the stuff, but sometime it just can't behave nicely.

Thanks Sonya, I really love this little one. A few more flowers are opening up now. It looks like I'm spending my lonely Valentine's Day with my plants and pets for company, so I should have time to snap some more shots

Really lovely little bloom. I like it. You are going to have to take a picture of the whole plant like Tommy does for those of us that don't know how it looks. I love the looks of these tiny plants, but am scared of growing them.
