A one leaf division? Did it take long to root? Do you use a rooting hormone? Now you've got me thinking and that usually gets me into trouble. I still like this idea, a lot.

Not at all, and I do use only seaweed extract. They do grow really well on hygrolon.

Does this work with all orchids or only certain kinds? I have generally very good luck rooting other plant cuttings and divisions, but have never tried it with orchids.

I am sure it won't work for all orchids, I do like this only orchid miniatures and only plants that like to be moist at all times since hygrolon wick the water and keeps moist, it seems to work for most of the miniature orchids I did try.

Thanks! And, thinking about it, this is probably a good thing. LOL If I could make endless cuttings like that, I'd not have room to walk in this house. In fact, I like orchids especially because they are challenging... my other houseplants reproduce far, far too easily.

I've decided Mr. TOMMYMIAMI has the magic touch. I find myself searching for his posts. I always find another miniature of his that I want and this little nursery is just too much. How creative!

I've admired plants you have posted in the past Tommy, but these are really special. Thank you for posting your nursery log!
