Default growing Dracula benedictii

Hallo everyone, I'm new here although I've been growing orchids for almost 4 years. I live in South Africa and love the rare and unusual, but I do like some of the more plain ones. My favourite being the Disas.

I am thinking of buying a monkey orchid named Dracula Benedictii I can not find any good culture tips on this specific species. Can any of you just tell me some of the basic growing tips, like the light, teperature, repotting and so on.

Happy growing everyone!

Let's start with - Dracula benedictii is a species, therefore it should be written with the species name beginning with a lower case letter.

I would consider it to be a Dracula species that grows in cool to the low end of intermediate growing, (40 F - 80 F/4.4 C - 26.7 C) since it is reported to come from elevations between 1,700 m to 2,300 m, (IOSPE PHOTOS). Should the basic collection data be accurate, then this is what it is in terms of temperature range tolerance.

If you want a detailed general guide, I just posted one called, http://www.orchidboard.com/community...acula-spp.html Please read through it to find out how to grow Draculas in general.

Thanks for helping, I looked at you post and it was very helpful. I always thought both the genus and species were capital letters.
