Just wanted to update on this precious plant... The first new leaf has opened into a beautiful purple red grape color the size of lemon... About 3 weeks from last update..

You can also see the second new growth growing taller than the last leaf...

So far so good but I'm still vigilant!

Woah, first time i see this one. Awesome!

First thing i thought was like Mika. No air movement with the curretn set up

Since you have a couple, why not have 2 different setups and see what works best?

Good news! The new leave has thrown a flower spike and the orange bud is showing ... It's sequential so it will continue flowering for a few weeks I hope!

The second new growth is coming nicely. I had to stake it down as it's almost touching the light... It will be as tall as the largest leave on the plant. Guess it's happy!

The newest leaf is opening up now! Also some of the older leaves are throwing out new spikes with little buds. The previous bud still hasn't open, so I'm thinking maybe they will bloom simultaneously.

So I was at the Cape Cod Hynannis orchid show and decided to visit J&L greenhouse the day of the snow storm (last Monday... I know that was not smart but I am an avid orchidists like you all with an insatiable addiction) and saw the mother plant with other 2 divisions! Here are the pics of the original plants!!!

What a treat to see their beautiful greenhouse and collection!!!
