Lepanthes rhodophylla 'J&L'

I open the case daily, spray RO water, leave open in shaded area till night, then cover again when dry. I have about 20 Lepanthes and 30 pleurothallis atm growing in my tanks and shaded areas. Once this plant is grown about 2 weeks like this, I will integrate it into my shaded pleurothallis section in my loft... I understand everyone's concern and note every message. Thanks for all advises!

I'm starting a list since the acquisition of this plant lol.... You are on it Matt plus 6 others... The plant has a bit to grow before division. According to Cordelia of J&L, there should be a minimum of 4 growths plus a lead. The keiki will need to start another new growth first and then potted up. Time is the secret and patience is our key

Sign me up for that list . J&L has been protecting a true gem, I wish you luck! I've used a similar method with containers to acclimate new acquisitions that are too big for the two orchidariums..... even used a towel once when I got a large dendrobium mid winter said dendrobium is about to bloom on the new cane and the old cane (may give it the towel again this year seems to like it )

So I moved the plant into my cool tank... Doing very well now and new growths seems to be taking off. I'm so happy it's liking the environment. Will send updates monthly or so...

Two weeks in the tank and the largest new growth grew about 2 inches! The new leave is about 1 inch now!




The new leave is between the keiki and the big leaf... Other new leaf (there are two new growths in total) is half the height. I also see new roots growing in the medium, sign the plant likes this environment! So relief that all is well for now!
