Platystele beatricis
Platystele beatricis - Definitely the "tiniest" blooms in my orchid collection. Hardly noticeable with the eye, but macro photography shows their beauty! Grown inside in small terrarium, bright shade, weak fertilizing, keeping moist.

Lovely cluster of flowers. It takes a dedicated grower to make this bloom....I would be scared I would kill it....

Thank you Bud, it is actually the easy one, in small vivarium with Lepanthes plant and just keeping it moist :-)

DeaC thanks, I can imagine how people react to table ful of mini's. Here in Florida everything regarding the orchids is "big" so people are sometimes shocked how tiny my plants really are :-)

Much admiration for your photography of such a small subject. Really allows us to appreciate its beauty.
Minis are definitely the way to go. 50 plants in a terrarium that takes up no more room than one full sized Catt - working on it.
Keep 'em coming.

Amazing! And I though the blooms on my Lepanthes disticha were small - at least you can see them with the naked eye. Simple amazing!
