My temps will be around 65-70F at night and about 75-80F during the day...humidity 90%+ and 10 hrs of compact fluorescent 6500K lights.

Ah, well, then. How about some leafless? Maybe not the ghost, but some of the other leafless are quite interesting, and pretty much all warm growing. Aslo, small angraecoids. Amesiella, Aerangis (some of them)... Definitely some of the little bulbos. Bulb. lemniscatoides has weird little flowers with little feathery tassels. Sophronitis cernua and pterocarpa should also do well. You might also look into less-common laeliinae. Gah, I can't think of names, right now, I have a headache. I'll check my resources and get back to you.

I still stick with Angraecoids. They're you best bet. Want to see some pics?

Marty 01-05-2008 08:39 AM

Maybe you can imbed the mount into the background? That way the roots can still be free to do their thing. Just a thought.

Marty, my temperatures and humidity are exactly what you have intended and my Aerangis are loving it.
Great photos Ross!

How about Laelia lundii? THat may be too high light. I do think Aerangis and such are a great idea. Dyakia (Asco.) hendersoniana has great color, if you want that. Also Cadetias are cute. Maxillaria uncata is a fun one! Ionopsis is a cute oncidium alliance genus.
