What is your "secret" for growing this type?! I've tried several and they have all died a painfully prolonged death, lol...

Paul, I wish to be able to tell you more, but I got this one only in June, I immediately mounted it on that porcelain flat mount, and it seems to love it! This one is hot to warm growing species, so it is outside, I do pretty much soak it or mist nearly every day now in summer in the mornings, seaweed and MagiCal added in between fertilizing. It is happy camper, it has already second bud, I am surprised it did establish this fast only some 2 months in my care and mounted. Bright shade regarding the light level.
